We are proud to announce the winner of the Motion Metrics Award for Research Excellence. Patrick Cahill is receiving the scholarship for his research paper, “The Effects of Detonation Wave Collisions on Rock Throw,” which compares different detonation techniques and the effect they have on fragmentation and throw. Cahill is an undergraduate student at the University of Missouri Science and Technology who used our PortaMetrics™ handheld fragmentation analysis tablet to help come up with his results. We are excited to meet him and the Missouri S&T team when he presents his findings in Denver at the 119th SME Annual Conference and Expo in February.
