Motion Metrics is proud to announce that we are sponsoring the University of British Columbia’s mining graduate research trip for another year!
The annual educational trip has been a tradition for UBC’s mining engineering department since 2005 and is a fantastic way for graduate students to learn about global mining challenges, opportunities, and solutions in unfamiliar areas of the world. These trips visit countries with a strong history of mining and are documented on the UBC Mining Grad Research Trip Blog. This year, the graduate students visited Peru.
With clients across six continents, Motion Metrics can appreciate the value in experiencing other nations’ approaches to the mining sector’s toughest problems. “Thank you once again,” says UBC Mining Graduate Class Representative Alexa Dumaine. “The research trip would not be possible without your generous and continued support.”
We proudly support this initiative and look forward to seeing where the mining engineering department travels next year! Take a look at the students’ pictures in the gallery below.
