Having the necessary equipment and personnel, it usually takes between 8 to 12 hours.
Our early systems have been installed over 5 years ago, and the bracket has survived all the shocks, vibration and other impacts.
Bucket camera has a special Sapphire glass that is dust resistant. Also it has a powerful heater that enables it to work in very cold temperatures. Cameras have proved to work fine in -40 °C in Canadian winters and they are totally water-proof. The easiest way to clean the camera is to power wash it from the ground.
To calibrate the ToothMetricsTM system, no shovel downtime is necessary. Basically the shovel needs to be in the working environment for the best performance. Calibration will take less than an hour and it is done while the shovel is in operation.
A new calibration is not necessary unless the dipper has been changed.
ToothMetricsTM automatically adjust itself to the new teeth sizes and works normally. No attention is necessary after the teeth change.
