November 2008 - Installation of LoadMetricsTM on Terex O&K RH400
Motion Metrics proudly announces that Motion Metrics has received a purchase order to install its LoadMetricsTM system on a Terex O&K RH400, the world's largest hydraulic shovel. The system is scheduled to be commissioned in early 2009.
LoadMetricsTM is a payload monitoring system which dynamically calculates the real-time bucket payload of a hydraulic shovel or excavators. With this real-time payload information, mining efficiency can be improved, and under-loading and over-loading of haul trucks can be avoided.

October 2008 - LoadMetrics-AGS chosen by an oil sand mine in Alberta
Motion Metrics proudly announces that a large oil sand mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada has chosen to incorporate Motion Metrics's LoadMetrics-AGS solution to their Wenco Fleet Management System on their Terex hydraulic shovel fleet.
The Motion Metrics LoadMetrics-AGS systems will be connected to the Wenco Fleet Management System onboard the shovels via RS232 in order to share the arm geometry and bucket coordinates with the radio dispatch system. In combination with the GSP data provided by the Wenco system on whereabouts of the shovel cab, the combined system provides the mine with the most accurate bucket positioning in the market.

September 2008 - Repeat order of Motion Metrics systems for a large copper mine in BC
Motion Metrics is proud to announce that Motion Metrics has received a repeat order from a large copper mine in British Columbia, Canada, for two of its most complete line of machine-vision products, i.e. ToothMetrics + ViewMetrics + FragMetrics. This system was ordered together with MCF100 brackets, which are specifically designed for P&H shovels. The shipment will also include the ReportLog data visualization and analysis software for FragMetrics log data. This will be the 4th and 5th system deployed at this customer site.

July 2008 - A major gold mining company in Australia has chosen Motion Metrics's combined ToothMetricsTM + FragMetricsTM system
Motion Metrics proudly announces that Motion Metrics has been awarded a sales and installation contract to supply its combined ToothMetricsTM + FragMetricsTM system to the entire shovel fleet at a major gold mine in Western Australia.
The mine purchased one ToothMetricsTM system in January 2008 which was installed on a Bucyrus 495HD cable shovel. After months of satisfactory results, the mine has decided to equip the Motion Metrics system on the rest of its shovel fleet which consists of Bucyrus and Terex shovels.

Motion Metrics's commercial representative in Chile, Tecno Tip Top Chile S.A., has announced the change of its legal name to "TECNOLOGIA EN TRANSPORTE DE MINERALES S.A." and the creation of a new corporate image under the brand "TTM Chile".
This change in the name does not compromise, under any circumstance, the existing contractual relationship with the company's customers or suppliers, as it is considered an amendment to the legal constitution of the company, not the creation of a new one. After long-term investment in the embedded software development, Motion Metrics International will be introducing a new major software release in this month for ToothMetrics, ViewMetrics and FragMetrics systems with major upgrades in image processing and artificial intelligence algorithms, specifications and the user interface. January 2008 - Motion Metrics enters the forestry equipment automation industry
Motion Metrics enters the forestry equipment automation industry by securing funding from Canada's NRC IRAP program for a one-year R&D project to develop a digital camera based real-time fragmentation analysis system for OSB (Oriented Strand Board) fines in forestry mills. This project also aims at advancing Motion Metrics's FragMetrics product and is a natural expansion of the application of camera-based fragmentation analysis system from mining to forestry applications.
