On October 27, Motion Metrics was in Toronto participating in the second annual artificial intelligence conference, “Machine Learning and the Market for Intelligence,” hosted by the Creative Destruction Lab at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. With a centrally located booth showcasing all of Motion Metrics’ advanced monitoring solutions, including our ever-popular shovel and loader demos, the event was a great success.
Motion Metrics was proud to be a contributing sponsor of the conference, which brought world leaders in the artificial intelligence industry together to discuss the opportunities and economic challenges arising from recent technological advances in machine learning.
Motion Metrics is proud of its continued relationship with the Creative Destruction Lab. Founded by Ajay Agrawal (Professor at the University of Toronto, founder of The Next 36 and business advisor to Motion Metrics), the Creative Destruction Lab is a highly competitive program that allows startup founders to pitch their business plans to a panel of experienced technology entrepreneurs and investors who provide milestone-based coaching over a nine month period. Coaches provide CDL ventures with eight week objectives, designed to help them make the jump from seed-stage startups to viable businesses. Since inception of the accelerator program, Shahram Tafazoli, President and CEO of Motion Metrics, has been an associate of the Lab and has mentored and invested in several Canadian startups.
