The University of British Columbia (UBC) has announced that Melanie MacKay, a Doctor of Philosophy in Mining Engineering student, has been awarded the Motion Metrics Mining Graduate Scholarship for the 2022 Winter Academic Session. The scholarship, worth $5000, recognizes MacKay’s dedication and accomplishments in her academic pursuits.
Started by company Founder and Chief of AI, Shahram Tafazoli Bilandi, the Motion Metrics Mining Graduate Scholarship is one of many awards offered to students at UBC, which aims to provide promising students with access to a life-changing education while lessening their financial burden. The award gives students the confidence they need to succeed in their studies at UBC and enables the university to recruit and retain talented scholars.
